SPONSORSHIP Sponsorship matters at College

Christ’s College sponsorship continues to thrive, reaching an average of 40 business sponsors supporting sporting and cultural activities annually. With many sponsors stepping up – along with raising their own profiles – there are multiple benefits. Interestingly, 11 of our sponsors are in the building industry, five in retail, and two are involved in the motoring industry. Most of our sponsorship comes through those College parents who run or own businesses. By becoming a sponsor, our parents support their son while also enjoying the business benefits of becoming part of our well-connected community. Sponsorship can be cash or in kind, or even a combination of both. In return, College offers our sponsors a high-profile relationship to enhance their business and brand through logo placement on uniforms, signage at prominent locations – such as on hoardings on Upper during home rugby games – or on our rowing boats and at community events. In addition, we set up regular networking events so that members of our business community can meet and connect. These include a popular new initiative, Business Banter, with sponsors invited to attend a College-organised breakfast featuring a successful and often

Our latest sponsored sport is mountain biking. Pak’nSave has signed on as lead sponsor for this very popular and growing sport, adding value to the programme with a new gazebo, bike trailer and two bike racks. We are very grateful to our superb sponsors, recognising that a connected community is integral to success. The College sponsorship programme helps drive, develop, and strengthen those vital business links and ties.

This year, we have partnered with retirement village Holly Lea to deliver multiple benefits. Our Jacobs House boys will visit the respected community, which includes several Old Boys, building on relationships and friendships, along with more plans for musical performances.
