Fine Art Collector | Spring 2022

 @ELWELL_HOME

@Elwell_home tagged us in their post on Instagram showcasing how they are staying positive this year by featuring a tongue-in-cheek artwork, ‘Contagion’ by Nic Joly in their home.

Art can evoke feelings of nostalgia, echoing fond memories of the past. It can honour a moment of celebration or a particular milestone, it can serve to heighten our interiors, revitalising the walls around us. Whatever the reason behind the art that you choose, we love to hear why you connect to our collections. Our Your World, Our Art® competition aims to highlight how you, our incredible collectors, display your favourite artists’ work in your homes, and is our way of saying thanks for your support by giving you an opportunity to win £100 towards your next piece. This year we have also started to invite everyone’s much-loved, favourite artists to host their own takeovers. With this new style competition, it gives

you a chance to win work by your favourite artists, share with them how you have styled their work in your home and have your photos judged by them! Our takeovers so far have included Robert Oxley, Alfie Bowen and Richard Rowan. Find out which artist will be in the spotlight next by signing up to our mailing list here: Enter to be in with a chance to be in the next instalment of our competition, simply by sending us a photograph of your art to yourworldourart@castlefineart. com or via social media by tagging @castlegalleries and hashtagging #YourWorldOurArt .

 LEAMINGTON CLIENT

A client from our Leamington gallery demonstrated the impact that a bold colour can make when it comes to interior design, featuring their edition of Illuminati Neon’s ‘Blue Headlines Queen’.

 CASTLE FINE ART

‘Penelope’ by Roxy Winterburn makes a strong statement in @runnymead_20’s home, showing that art can find its home away from your walls, whether that be through the stunning placement of a sculpture or coffee table book to complement your collection.

Not only have our artists being giving it a go, our teams have too! Tim Rogerson’s ‘A Mouse Full Of Joy’ appears in the stunning home of one staff member, showing they don’t just enjoy their jobs, they enjoy the artwork too.

 RACHEL MCLOUGHLIN – DON’T GIVE UP

 CANTERBURY CLIENT

@thischeshirehousewife showed of her enviable lounge that features ‘It’s All Just Make Believe, Isn’t It?’ by Simon Claridge from his Fox Presents The Films Of Marilyn The Diamond Dust Collection. The thoughtfully positioned picture light shows off the reflective quality of the hand-applied diamond dust to its absolute best advantage.

Rachel entered our recent Richard Rowan Your World, Our Art® competition and we loved the striking use of colour in her home, creating a serene reading corner by using a triadic colour scheme with the mustard yellow chair, deep red wood and electric blue tones from her chosen piece ‘Don’t Give Up’.

A client from our Canterbury gallery entered this show-stopping image of their ‘Tribeca Rider’ by Richard Hambleton, creating a stunning contrast between the dramatic, energetic canvas against the muted colour palette and zen effect aided by the inclusion of natural décor elements.

 SCARLETT RAVEN

Even our artists have being getting their interior design hats on! This beautiful living space belongs to none other than our artist Scarlett Raven, who has chosen to feature two of her original artworks on the walls, showing a talent for interior styling as well as painting!
