LIGHT & BEYOND

INTRODUCTION

Ever wondered what makes a sunset so spec- tacular? Why we sit around a fire pit until the wee hours, forgetting the time completely? Why people travel thousands of miles to admire the Northern Lights or the brightly illuminated bill- boards of Times Square? Is it coincidence or because of the darkness? Evening. Nighttime. The magical, mystical mo- ment of the day when all of the senses seem to be at their peak. This is the time of day when light is experienced as something far more exceptional than during the daytime. It is the darkness that makes the light so bright. But you don’t need to travel to the other side of the world to experience the magic of light. This marvel can be easily viewed close to home in your own backyard. After all, why take a dark and uninviting yard for granted? Naturally, you want to enjoy your yard after dark as well. Whether you spend the entire evening outdoors or admire your enchantingly beautiful yard from indoors. in-lite lets you discover how outdoor lighting truly brings your outdoor space to life. The magic of lighting with the right intensity and balance provides an experience you never dreamed possible. Unhide your garden.

SIGHTLINES & ELEMENTS

In the design we see the following sightlines & elements in the garden. These are the places we will focus on with our lighting plan.

The main focus is to create a safe and magical ambiance throughout the whole space. The premium fixtures highlight the beautiful aspect of the garden and bring this to the next level at night. The diner and sitting areas and the patio is the main focus here. The existing trees and perennials are illuminated to create this magical ambiance.

The fixtures used to create this magical ambiance are showcased on the next page.

SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability is an all-encompassing theme and is an impor- tant topic in both media and politics. At in-lite and in-lite lab. we also increasingly realize that we must take steps to protect the environment. This is a responsibility we start to feel more and more. For example, in the past few years we have said goodbye to luminaires with a halogen light source, we have taken steps to reduce the plastic in our packaging and we have made all the leds in our luminaires more sustainable. In the use of the luminaires and the system, steps can be made that benefit the world. For example, we always advise to divide a lighting plan into different zones. This way, you can determine per zone for how many hours the luminaires have to be on and the energy consumption can be reduced even more. It is also important to think about light pollution. Make sure that luminaires are always aimed at something and do not randomly shine up. A good lighting plan contributes to the atmosphere and safety around the house and in the garden, without causing light pollution and consuming excess energy.

MAINTENANCE

Like the rest of your yard, your outdoor lighting also requires maintenance. This contributes to the durability of the fix- tures. Clean your outdoor lighting with a clean rag and hot water at least once each year, such as in the spring. Be sure to switch off the electricity - especially for fixtures connec- ted to 100-230 volts! Even though stainless steel is rust-proof, dirt deposits, ferti- lizers and salt can cause it to rust. A special cleaning agent is therefore available for fixtures with stainless steel parts: INNOSHINE D5750 and INNOCARE D580. Treat the fixtures with these cleaning and protective products immediately af- ter installation and repeat this treatment once each year. Should oxidation occur, you can also treat it using these products.
