Supply chain control
In-house roasting on energy-efficient Loring coffee roasters and a shift to direct purchasing , cutting gas consumption by 20–25% while improving sourcing autonomy, transparency, and quality consistency. Initially piloted a blockchain-based traceabilit y system enabling customers to scan a QR code and follow the coffee’s journey from farm to cup . This approach is now being gradually phased out due to its rigidity and the broader decline of active initiatives in the sector. The focus has shifted toward building direct trade relationships with producers, with the long-term goal of conducting our own audits at origin to verify practices and strengthen transparency. Disposable cups and single-use packaging replaced with reusable porcelain cups and 5 kg r eusable containers. 100% of consumables are now reusable and 100% of plastic, paper and food waste recovered , lowering long-term client costs. Exclusive sourcing of Fair Trade and organic coffee , deliberately limiting the supplier pool to meet strict standards: 100% socially certified (amfori BSCI) and environmentally certified (Rainforest Alliance) , with no synthetic pesticides, protecting soil health and biodiversity.
