T H E K I N G ’ S B U S I N E S S the priest have a service just the op posite from that of a prophet? A priest stands for man in the presence of God but a prophet stands for God in the presence of man, therefore the prophet brings the mind of God to man. Did the reading of the law work repentance to the king? Terse 19. Is repentance and confession the forerunner of use fulness and divine blessing? Why do we not have more of it then? At what college did Huldah, the prophetess, live? Does it prove a low state of spiritual life when God has to use a woman as prophet? Is it God’s com mon rule to use women to make known His counsels? How many of the writers of the hooks of the Bible were women? Has not woman however a very useful place in the Gospel min istry? Did God ever use a woman to formulate a system of doctrine? Are most of our modern cults and “ isms” headed by women? Of what sins was Judah guilty in verse 25? What three blessings are pronounced upon Josiah in verse 28 because of his repentance? Should all the people hear the Word of God? Verse 30. Ought the Bible to be read in our public schools? Are we losing much prosperity and bless ing as a nation by not allowing the Bible to he read in our public schools? What abominations would be abolished in America if our Government put the Word of God first and called for a week of repentance and prayer, and reading of the Scriptures, and closed all the playhouses and amusement joints and forbad all unnecessary work?

It is to give us light in the darkness. If we are away from home at night, it is a great comfort BEGINNERS to see a light in the AND PRIMARY window showing us Mabel L. Merrill that we are on the 1road home. The Bible is our guide and light on the way to our heavenly home. The teachings of Jesus, in the Bible, show us how to avoid danger and walk in the safe path through life. God’s word is our light and if we study it faithfully, it will point out the way to our home in heaven.— Primary Teacher. Besson Story.—We had such a beauti ful story last week of the good king Hezekiah, and how he loved the house of God, and led his people in the wor ship of the Lord. We remember what a wonderful time the people all had worshipping God in the temple after it was cleaned and put in order. We learned in that story that serving the Lord and obeying makes us happy, and it does not seem possible that people who were made so happy, would go away from God and serve idols again, but after King Hezekiah died, another king took his place, who did not obey God and did wickedly, and he led his people away from God into idolatry. The name of the king in our story today is Josiah, and he, like Hezekiah, loved and served God, and he began reigning as king by putting the temple of God in order, making it ready for a place of worship. In looking over the temple to make everything clean and ready, the priest or minister found a book. It had been lying out of sight for a long time. It must have been covered with dust in its hidings place' where perhaps some careless one had dropped it. Of course the minister was surprised, and looked at it carefully to see what it was. It did not take long to find out. It was God’s book, the Bible. The book did not have as much in it as we have in our Bibles to-day,
