The participants can show interest in never placing tools and equipment inside electrical cabinets (Ability, basic level).

The instructor shall:

Facilitate group discussions with the participants about how and why housekeeping reduces the risk of injury related to working around electricity. Facilitate group discussions with the participants about how good housekeeping can be ensured and the importance of proper housekeeping before, during and after work.

The participants shall:

Engage in the group discussions and share understandings about housekeeping.

The instructor shall:

Facilitate group discussions about the consequences of tools and equipment placed or left inside electrical cabinets. Facilitate group discussions about ways to mitigate that tools and equipment are placed or left inside electrical cabinets (e.g., counting tools used versus tools collected at the end, create habit of never place a tool or part inside a cabinet, instead container in the floor, magnetic tray etc).

The participants shall:

Engage in the group discussions and share their experiences and understandings to the consequences of and ways to mitigate tools and equipment being placed or left inside electrical cabinets.

The instructor shall:

Provide constructive feedback to the participants ’ group discussions .

ELEMENT 4.15 - DERANGED EQUIPMENT

Learning objective:

The participants can distinguish deranged equipment from equipment that is not deranged (Skills, intermediate level). The participants can explain how and why deranged equipment increase the risk of injury related to working around electricity (Knowledge, intermediate level).
