One boy was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee, but he couldn’t afford any school gear. For him, that wasn’t a problem. He proudly drew his own version of the UT logo and pinned it to an orange shirt. He was thrilled to show off his innovation, but things took a turn when his classmates made fun of him. The boy’s teacher was so distraught by his resulting devastation that she took to social media to see if anyone had a UT shirt to spare. But a lot more than that happened. The university found out about the boy’s situation, and not only did they send him an entire box of Tennessee gear, but they also took his homemade logo and adopted it as an official design. It’s

already sold more than 50,000 units, and all proceeds go to the charity Stomp Out Bullying. UT has also offered the boy honorary admission to the Class of 2032, complete with a full scholarship.

It was a simple task, but his creativity and confidence inspired a powerful act of compassion that resonated with thousands of people around the world.
