WELCOME Welcome to new staff and boys

Hazel Younger arrives as our new Deputy Head having previously taught at Channing School in Highgate where she held the position of Director of Studies for the last three years. She was educated at George Watson’s in Edinburgh, St Hilda’s in Oxford and Trinity Hall Cambridge where she received her PGCE in Primary education. Before Channing, she taught at St John’s College in Cambridge and Queen’s College School in London. Hazel is a very keen singer and musician as well as a regular runner and cyclist.

We are thrilled to welcome Caitlin Kelly to the College as the new Head of Junior School Music. Originally from Seattle, she graduated from Boston University with a BMus in Education and Violin performance. Caitlin was previously the Director of Music at Willington Prep School in Wimbledon. She is particularly passionate about singing the blues and hiking.

Hayley Cohen joins the Junior School this year as maternity cover for Sam Neate. Originally from Glasgow, she attended Edinburgh University where she received a first class Law degree. Hayley started her teaching with School Direct at Cherry Orchard Primary in Greenwich and then was a form teacher at Crane Park Primary in Feltham. She has recently completed six months travelling in South America and she very much enjoys musical theatre. Chris Smith joins the Junior School as our new Graduate Assistant Teacher. He graduated from Southampton Solent University with a degree in Sport Studies in 2010 and recently completed the UEFA B football coaching qualification. As a highly talented footballer, Chris has played for Fulham FC, Brentford FC and Woking FC, and has also worked at Fulham FC for four years as a football coach and sport tutor. He spent the last year working at Rokeby Prep School in Kingston upon Thames in the PE and Games department. We are delighted to welcome Emma Cosford a back to the Junior School having spent the last year working at Wetherby Prep. Emma originally joined us in 2014 as a newly qualified teacher on a one year maternity cover placement. She was educated at Bedford Modern School, then Nottingham University (English and Philosophy), before completing her Primary PGCE at Exeter. Emma will be working as a class teacher in Year 3, and will also be taking on the roles of Drama coordinator and Drake Housemaster.
