pie in the church. There’s an interest ing story about a young man who had fallen madly in love with a beautiful girl. Being in a distant city, he deter mined to write her every day. Without fail, every morning, seven days a week, a card or letter was sent telling of the undying love for her which he felt in his heart. On Sundays he sent a special delivery message. A t the end of 365 days, that young lady had received no less than 365 sentimental messages of love. By the year’s end she was en gaged. Oh, not to the letter-writer, but to the postman. You see, visitation pay's! Well, such a story only seeks to prove that every Sunday school and church would have many more in attendance if visitation were regularly carried on in the community by the faithful mem bers. The sick would try harder to re turn when their strength came back. Those who had been disinterested would be more vitally concerned. The people who had been slighted or injured in some manner would feel that they were wanted and would renew their ties of fellowship. It wasn’t broadcast on radio or television. Those who could heal also had oppor tunity to raise the dead. No one went into the healing busir ness as a result of their success, in cluding either Peter or Paul. There are absolutely no records of a recurrence nor a relapse of the case when an individual in the Bible was healed, according to the Scriptural teachings. None of these things char acterize the present divine healing movement of today. Let’s make certain that we seek God’s will and that we’re not depending upon the teachings of men for our strength or understand ing.
Medicine and advice are two things more pleasant to give than they are to receive.
The trouble with the many hands that rock the cradle today is that they are simply hired hands.
DIVINE HEALING First of all, the healings of the Bible were universal as to time. People could be healed at any hour of the day or night. The healings were universal as to place. People could be healed anywhere the need existed. These healings were universal as to the disease, inherited or acquired. They were universal as to the per- 30
