Lightning strikes in Gloucester tournament

worked so hard for this, each one of them. They played as a team and deserve this championship 100 per cent. Les Castors de Clarence ont subi une dé- faite écrasante, le 20 décembre dernier, contre les Timberwolves de Renfrew, alors qu’ils se sont inclinés par la marque de 4 à 8. La saison ne va pas bien pour les Castors, qui cumulent les défaites. En effet, l’équipe a essuyé 21 défaites sur 30 matchs joués, depuis le 12 septembre. La tendance de la saison s’est maintenue avec le dernier match disputé par l’équipe, alors qu’elle a encaissé une lourde défaite. Ils seront de retour à l’aréna de Cla- rence Creek, seulement le 10 janvier où ils y affronteront les Aeros d’Athens.

Audrey Racine allowed just two goals in over five games during the three-day tournament while the front line of Camryn Gagne-LaVic- toire, Jessica Hupe andDominike Duford led the scoring charge over the weekend with goals provided by Nadia Lefebvre, Jenna Hollett, Harper McBrearty and Juliane Rioux, Shanie Grondin, Alexis Hillier.
After a comeback goal by Lefebvre to win the semi-final match, an early goal by Harper in the final game looked like it would hold up until Kingston tied the score late on a fluke shot from the blue line that hit the goalposts and crossbar to end up an inch inside the net. An overtime top-corner goal by Alyssa Forget clinched the game for Clarence-Rockland.
