Joel M. Shulman Ph.D., CFA | Founder & Chief Investment Officer
Dr. Joel Shulman is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of EntrepreneurShares. His 30+ years of academic research led to the formation of our proprietary 15-factor investment model. Dr. Shulman is a leading academic in the field of Entrepreneurship at Babson College (ranked #1 for Entrepreneurship 18 consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report.) Dr. Shulman holds a Ph.D. in Finance and is a CFA charter holder. He also earned an MPA from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University. He founded and sold The Shulman Review, a CFA test-prep company that trained over 12,000+ investment professionals in 110+ countries around the world. In addition, he provided consulting services to the World Bank and helped facilitate capital market development in Central Asian states. Dr. Shulman is the author of the 2004 best business book Getting Bigger by Growing Smaller and contributes regularly to a Forbes column on investing. Scott Stone is the Chief Investment Officer at Pentegra Services and a key stakeholder in Capital Impact Advisors. He has been with the Company since 2012 and during that time he provided seed capital for key strategies, serves on the investment committee and member of the board of directors. Mr. Stone is a seasoned institutional investment executive, with over 25 years of experience as a senior manager of multi-billion dollar institutional investment portfolios and investment advisors. Mr. Stone leads Pentegra Services investment management team, where he is the driving force behind the management and oversight of the investment processes governing over $13 billion in assets comprised of both public and private holdings of fixed income, equity, real estate and alternative investments, including hedge funds. He worked in numerous investment classes, from all sectors of public and private fixed income and equities to real estate, Mr. Stone has a deep understanding of liability-driven investing and Asset/Liability Management. He has worked primarily in the insurance industry but has invested for clients in banking, pension fund management and, a charitable endowment. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Marketing and Quantitative Methods as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of Kansas. Mr. Stone holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) professional designations. Joseph Sherman | Assistant Portfolio Manager
Joseph Sherman is the Assistant Portfolio Manager at EntrepreneurShares. He has been with the Company since November 2016 and during that time has played a key role in the construction of the firm’s first ETF, launched in November 2017. Mr. Sherman's current responsibilities include supporting the portfolio manager with portfolio construction, re-balancing and trading, individual security research and analysis, portfolio monitoring, and other day-to-day investment responsibilities. Previously, he worked at Chestnut Hill Realty as a financial analyst for their investment team. Mr. Sherman received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Finance from McGill University. Mr. Sherman passed the CFA Level III Exam and may be awarded the charter upon completion of the required work experience. Peter Weiner is the Head of Business Development at EntrepreneurShares. He has been with the Company since April 2018 playing a key role building up the trading platform and consultant network. Mr. Weiner is an accomplished leader with a consistent track record of success and has a reputation for developing long-standing, high-value relationships with clients. Mr. Weiner is skilled at growing revenues and ultimately profits in a global environment, including Europe and Latin America, in the Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and Endowment and Foundation space. Mr. Weiner demonstrates strong client, product, sales, and marketing orientation with experience managing a large-scale team of analysts and sales executives. Mr. Weiner is recognized as a passionate, disciplined, and determined leader. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northeastern University. Alissa Shulman is the Chief Financial Officer at EntrepreneurShares. She has been with the Company since May 2016 and during that time has played a key role in the October 2016 Founder/CEO Index launch, as well as the construction of the firm’s first ETF, the ERShares Entrepreneur 30 ETF launched in November 2017. Ms. Shulman's current responsibilities include supporting the portfolio manager, individual security research and analysis, and the quarterly re-balance for the portfolios. Previously, she worked at Gordon Brothers Group as an analyst for the Commercial & Industrial disposition team and for Gordon Brothers-AccuVal’s Retail Inventory Valuation team. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from Babson College and is currently a CFA Level II candidate. Alfredo Pellas | VP of Business Development
Alfredo Pellas is the Vice President of Business Development at EntrepreneurShares. He has been with the company since August 2017. Mr. Pellas specializes in expanding EntrepreneurShare’s presence domestically and in Latin America. Previously, he has worked as an analyst at BAC Florida Bank and at Skybridge Capital. Mr. Pellas earned his Masters of Management in Hospitality at Boston University and his Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Finance from Boston College, Carroll School of Management. David Zamarin is the marketing strategist at EntrepreneurShares. He has been with the company since September 2016 and has worked on various projects from financial analysis to increasing EntrepreneurShares’ brand recognition. Previously, David has successfully exited from his own two ventures and was featured on SharkTank with his latest business – DetraPel.
