The role of the Capital Projects Manager is key to achieving InHealth’s ambitious estates strategy and crucial part of the capital delivery team, with specific remit for providing project leadership in the planning, design and delivery of state-of-the-art facilities, which allow the NHS to provide service access to patients in their own communities therefore eliminating the need for them to find the necessary capital to meet growing diagnostic demand. We are therefore now seeking a Capital Projects Manager to join the team and lead the delivery of a range of high-profile new build, adaptation and refurbishment projects across a diverse and complex estate portfolio. Responsible for providing a high level technical advisory service to clinical stakeholders, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of InHealth’s capital programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop their career in a client-side project management role with an ambitious and growing NHS Partner organisation. NHS hospitals and clinics InHealth can provide fully managed services utilising existing NHS facilities and resources. In secondary care, we provide fully integrated managed imaging services to over 28 NHS Trusts bringing considerable experience, robust clinical processes, highly trained staff and cost effective solutions.

In all cases, we integrate seamlessly with other hospital services and operate to the very highest standards of quality and clinical excellence. We also provide Community Healthcare Services to GPs and CCGs from over 100 sites across the country, leading the way in the

delivery of direct to test community diagnostic services. We are AQP/LQP providers and combine electronic booking with patient choice of appointment with the NHS e Referral service.

Mobile services Our fleet of mobile solutions puts advanced diagnostic capabilities within easy reach and can be established quickly, with minimal risk and low costs. All our units are equipped with modern, state-of-the-art equipment and trained clinical, operational and management staff are on hand to ensure rapid deployment and smooth day to day running of the service. They also have an independent power source and high-speed wireless connection, meaning they can provide a rapid reported solution from an off-site location. InHealth Mobile Services assist customers to flex capacity to match sometimes unpredictable demand, and remain an important option for many of our clinical services.

Relocatable solutions InHealth’s relocatable units provide a semi-permanent extension of a hospital site and provide a bridge between mobile unit and permanent site which can be configured and easily delivered to the chosen location. Units can incorporate a waiting area and day room for patients as well as additional support facilities including wash basins and changing areas. Several NHS Trusts benefit from InHealth’s relocatable Cardiac Cath Lab solutions providing Day Case and In-Patient services. These fully staffed, purpose built units include a Catheterisation Lab. A 6 bed day ward is also available with patient monitoring, nursing station, refreshment area and toilets.

INVESTING IN UK HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS

With access to significant capital

funding, we are set to invest £50m to £70m per annum across Diagnostic centres and community clinics, NHS Hospitals

and Clinics and Mobile Services.

Our strategy to continue to build on long-term partnerships with our customers and delivering the right solution for their needs. The pandemic has illustrated the importance of developing flexible healthcare solutions and we recognise many of the challenges currently facing healthcare in the UK and our solutions are tailored to offer access to capital for investment and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands as they emerge from region to region. Our forthcoming development plans will include an exciting capital strategy to support NHS England plans to set up a network of new “one-stop shops” where patients will be able to have scans closer to home rather than having to go hospital. These projects will range from £250k to £10m to ensure the realisation of our partners key priorities. With this in mind, we will need a well-resourced and high calibre capital projects team to lead the delivery of the projects.

THE ROLE

• Acting as the subject matter expert for all building and equipment related queries, offering concise technical support and advice on construction, design and delivery at all times • Developing clear project plans for senior stakeholders and ensuring they are kept up to date throughout the delivery, communicating any risks, updates and analysis as required • Leading on the identification, purchase and delivery of any physical assets required for the project, for eg: diagnostic imaging equipment, mobile trailer units etc. • Growing long-lasting, meaningful and effective relationships with customers, contractors and suppliers to assist with the delivery of any current and future capital projects • Attending on-site meetings to ensure customers remain informed on the progress of the project and that contractors are adhering to any timescales as agreed • Regularly presenting feedback, updates and reports to the InHealth Senior Leadership team, engaging them on any progress, risks, issues or budgetary changes as required • Remaining up to date with all the latest construction, procurement and governance processes, and maintaining a strong technical knowledge of medical equipment We’re looking for someone who is: • An expert when it comes to medical equipment and has experience of leading the procurement, delivery and implementation of high-cost and complex assets • A passionate and committed leader that can motivate, encourage and communicate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure the first- class delivery of healthcare solutions • Technically minded and has a great understanding of healthcare service implementation • Educated and knowledgeable about CQC requirements, planning and building regulations, governance standards, environmental legislation, health & safety and infection control

What will you do? • Lead on a variety of exciting renovations, adaptations and new builds across the country to help us deliver on our vision of making healthcare better for patients • Oversee the day to day management of several different projects from initial budgeting, through to design, equipment delivery and handover to the operational teams • Manage external contractors and suppliers directly to ensure they deliver cost-effective and efficient solutions within expected and agreed timescales What will you be responsible for? • Monitoring and controlling all aspects of any assigned projects to ensure that cost effective, timely and appropriate solutions are developed to fulfil our customers’ requirements • Providing support and guidance throughout the tendering process, offering technical expertise on costs, logistics and timescales so that we remain competitive • Managing the customer briefing process, ensuring relevant information is requested and recorded, allowing for a detailed design to be delivered within statutory requirements
