TRUE TO OUR IDEAOLOGY AND TO OUR FOUNDING PURPOSE?

RESPONSE:

We must keep in mind there are changes that must necessarily take place, if the school is to serve each generation of its existence. We have needed to enlarge the curriculum and add secular courses to provide the training necessary for today's needs. But ideologically, the school has remained the same. Biola still holds to the doctrinal position of the founding fathers. We also hold to their pattern of Christian living, with certain modifications which we felt have had to creep in if we are to become relevant to our current needs and requirements. One such change in our ideological position has been to allow students to attend commercial movies, which was a very difficult decision that had to be made. The commercial movies covered such a wide range of subjects, some of which were wonderful and quite essential to a well educated person, as well as others which
