Practical Christian Work, or Christian Service, and started teaching. I taught from then on until 1944. After I'd become Dean, the work got so heavy that I decided either I would have to go into teaching full time or the administrative work full time. I chose the administrative work, and I've never been sorry since.

WHEN WERE YOU ORDAINED?

RESPONSE:

I graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1926 and became Pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Highland Park that summer. I was ordained in July, 1926. Incidentally, I was married in February, 1927, and we remained at the Grace Presbyterian Church until 1931. Then in July, 1931, I went out in the University Bible Club work with Milo Jamison. That was the fated forerunner of the Campus Crusade program on the UCLA campus and now it is
