We did not know it, but the Coldwell Banker men all along had in mind the site we finally selected. They took us here and there, and each time we thought, "Well, there are wonderful advantages, let's take it." They said, "No, we want to show you something else." And finally they took us out along what was then Luitweiler Blvd., now La Mirada Blvd., overlooking two beautiful lakes in a draw. And they said that those lakes had been set aside as part of a park development and we could take the top land above the lakes and overlook the lakes for our campus. To us, that was the ideal situation, and we grabbed on to 50 acres right then and there, all of it up in the high land. None of it down in the draw, because that had been set apart for park purposes. Well, we had selected the site, brought the Board members out to look at it and they were quite enthused. We had sold the property across the downtown location, as related elsewhere, for $500,000 and that was enough to purchase 50 acres we needed for a campus,
