Rockland Cruise Nights give back
2500 $ pour les enfants
Rockland Cruise Nights, a car event for cruisers and car lovers, raised nearly $1000 for the Rockland Food Bank this season.The amount was raised through 50/50 draws that were held during three of the four Cruise Nights held in June, July, August and September. The August Cruise Night was a special event as it was held inmemory of Jean-Luc Martin, one of the founders, who lost his battle to cancer in August 2016. L’École secondaire catholique de Plantagenet a ramassé une somme record de 2500 $ pour la campagne des Lutins de Noël de l’organisme communautaire Valoris, lors du Brunch des anges annuel, le dimanche 3 décembre. Comme à chaque année depuis 19 ans, cette activité a comme but d’amasser des fonds afin d’offrir des cadeaux aux enfants défavorisés de la région de Prescott-Russell en ce temps des Fêtes. Jusqu’à maintenant, au fil des ans, l’école a remis tout près de 47 500$ à la campagne des Lutins de Noël. —photo fournie
