RHS moves up to Regionals in Drama Fest
was held at RHS the evening of Wednesday, March 26, and a fundraising performance will be held the evening of Wednesday, April 2, at the school. Regional competitions in Perth will be held April 2 to 5. Original music for the play was composed by students Kathleen Reiche and Shannon Hoag and performed by Kathleen Reiche. The cast of Home At Six, which is a play all in words of one syllable, are Eric Ryan, Vic- toria Bowen, Colton Snook, Rachel Hunter, Shannon Hoag, and Elizabeth Grohmann. The crew is comprised of Chelsey Hardy, Nikyla Talgov, Emily Hickey, Victoria Bowen, Callum Hoag, Ryan Knight, TJ Jodoin, Eric Boulding, Mitchell Ansell, Joel Knight, Bradley Roy, Ross McIntyre, Thomas Zim- merman and teachers Kevin Kennedy and Stuart Brink.

The Russell High School entry in the Sea- way District Sears Drama Festival held in Cornwall March 19 to 22 took home three awards, including Outstanding Produc- tion, and will be moving up to Regional competition in Perth in April. Their production, Home At Six, was per- formed Saturday, March 22. Crew member Emily Hickey won for Properties and the cast won for Ensemble Cast. Teacher Kevin Kennedy was very proud of the cast and crew’s hard work and talent, which was showcased for the high school the afternoon of March 20 with a dress re- hearsal performance held that evening for family and friends. CASSELMAN l Le spectacle de La Café- thèque, qui s’intitule cette année l’ESCC est live, revient à l’École secondaire catho- lique de Casselman après trois ans d’ab- sence. La troupe, constituée d’une qua- rantaine d’élèves et de 10 enseignants, présentera des représentations les 24, 25 et 26 avril. L’histoire se déroule dans une station de télévision où l’on anime pour la première fois un direct. Or, un événement de la veille fait en sorte que tous les animateurs et ac- teurs habituels ne peuvent se présenter à la station. La directrice générale de la station, le comptable, la secrétaire et le concierge n’ont d’autres choix que de prendre les choses en main et d’animer toutes les émis- sions de la journée. La pièce donne lieu à

des scènes comiques à souhait. Ce spec- tacle, entrecoupé de chants, de musique et de danse, mettra en lumière les talents des élèves qui attendent cet événement avec impatience. C’est à compter de 19h que les specta- teurs peuvent assister au grand retour de La Caféthèque. Le samedi, 26 avril, une repré- sentation est également prévue à 13h.
