Engineering and Technology’s (ABET) review team in 2023, for re-accreditation of the B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering programme. A series of workshops were held in preparation for the visit to ensure conformity to ABET’s requirements. The Faculty is desirous of obtaining this re-accreditation, and the first-time accreditation for the three remaining B.Sc. programmes - Civil, Electrical Power, and Biomedical Engineering– as they continue in their efforts to maintain high standards in academic offerings and delivery modalities. The Faculty of Medical Sciences – CAAM-HP Accreditation The MBBS programme is scheduled for an accreditation review by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP). The visit will take place between November 27 and December 6, 2022. The Annual Student Questionnaire and the Annual Progress Report were prepared in collaboration with the other Campuses, and submitted to CAAM- HP. The Progress Report was accepted by CAAM- HP at its Annual General meeting in July 2022. The response was favourable. The University Council of Jamaica The UCJ Mid-Cycle Review was held between February 14 and 16, 2022. The Review process invited participation from key members of The UWI community including members of Campus Council, Senior Management, Faculties, the Library, Mona Information Technology Services, the Guild, students, the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, and the Office of Student Services and Development. While the UCJ lauded the new initiatives undertaken since the University’s accreditation in 2019 and the Campus’ timely pivot to online teaching and learning during the pandemic, some concerns were expressed. Twelve (12) recommendations were cited for consideration by the Campus. The Mid-Cycle Evaluation Report covered areas such as: • Major Developments on the Campus – governance, mission, teaching and learning, student development;
Efforts at Fostering Digital Transformation at the Library In March 2022, the Systems Unit of the Library engaged the Mona Information Technology Services (MITS) Applications Team to implement
an e-commerce platform. Special emphasis was placed on fines repayment, print account top-up, and reprographic services. A link was placed on The UWIs eservices product page at https://eservices. mona.uwi.edu/all-products. The system went live on August 2, 2022.
All twelve (12) recommendations were addressed by the Mona Campus team.
The UWI, Mona Campus had previously submitted an Update Report in March 2021, and a Mid-Cycle Evaluation Report in November 2021.

3.5 DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION Efforts to Enhance Access to Collection and Resources at the Mona Library The core responsibility of the Cataloguing Section is to provide access to the Library’s holdings by creating metadata for resources acquired during the academic year. During the period under review, the following updates were added to the system:

7,625 updated items

4 newly-digitized collections
• Metadata for 216 electronic resources which were purchased or received as gifts

The Mona Library significantly improved access to its patrons by cataloguing and adding 46 laptops to their collection to support virtual teaching and learning. The Library also assisted the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) with the cataloguing of 32 WACOM display screens and 68 WACOM portable tablets.
