For nearly three decades, Camp Healing Powers has been a place of healing, connection, and transformation for children and teens navigating the difficult journey of grief. What began in 1997 as a simple idea, bringing young grievers together so they do not have to walk their grief alone, has grown into one of the most cherished programs supported by Community Hospice & Palliative Care. Every year, children ages 7 to 17 arrive at the Marywood Retreat and Conference Center in St. Johns County carrying burdens no child should face alone. Some have lost a parent. Others a sibling, grandparent, or dear friend. What they all share is a deep need to be understood and supported.
