Among this year’s most significant milestones was the groundbreaking of the Dorion Family Pediatric Center, a transformational step forward in our commitment to serving children with serious illnesses and their families. This moment represented years of planning, partnership, and community support coming together around a shared vision: creating a dedicated space where children can receive specialized care in an environment designed specifically for their unique needs. The groundbreaking was more than the start of construction — it was the beginning of a new chapter for pediatric care in our region. Made possible through the extraordinary generosity of donors, community leaders, and advocates, the Dorion Family Pediatric Center will expand access to comprehensive pediatric hospice and palliative care services while providing comfort, connection, and support for families facing some of life’s most challenging circumstances. As construction progresses, we look forward to welcoming children and families to the Dorion Family Pediatric Center when it opens in 2026. This transformational facility will strengthen our ability to deliver specialized pediatric care while creating a compassionate, family-centered environment designed to meet the unique needs of every child and family we serve. The excitement surrounding this project reflects our community’s belief that every child deserves expert care delivered with dignity, comfort, and love.
