“Olga Jančić: Primordial in Modern” The exhibition “Olga Jančić: Primordial in Modern” has opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade under the scope of the cycle “Art and Personality, Sculptors from the Collection of the MSUB”. This cycle of independent exhibi- tions presents the works of female sculptors who utilised the strength of their own personality to overcome all limitations, both personal and social, and achieve high exposure, marking the sculpture of the 20 th and early 21 st centuries. The cycle is being launched with the exhibition “Olga Jančić: Primordial in Modern”, which remains open to visitors until 2 nd May. The exhibition presents 20 sculptures in stone, wood, bronze and aluminium. Representing a special segment of the exhi- bition are video clips of freestanding monumental sculptures – stone sculptures erected on the Sava Quay in Belgrade, Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad and a park in Vrnjačka Ban- ja, as well as a bronze sculpture erected in Kraljevo. Throughout her rich and fruitful artistic career that has last- ed more than six decades, Olga Jančić’s deep understand- ing and experience of the primordial has helped her succeed in instilling a dimension of originality into sculptures of mod- ern expression. In contemplating the essential questions of human existence – the amazing wonder and beauty of life, she simultaneously delves into the spheres of the other, less cheerful side of life, with all its trepidation. Viewed as a whole, her bronze and aluminium works are mostly characterised by dramatic shapes and names, while those in stone are distinguished by the softness of their over- all visual effect, which hint - with their full, rounded dimen- sions – at fruitful currents emanating from the very heart or core of the form.

Zeler, baveći se procesom starenja, u datim okol- nostima i izvrnutim odnosom oca i ćerke, dovodi u pita- nje i postojanost kategorija istine i realnosti. Premijera je planirana za Svetski dan pozorišta, 27. marta, a glavne uloge tumače Voja Brajović, Hana Selimović, Ivan Miha- ilović i drugi...

the father The Mira Trailović Stage of theatre Atelje 212 will host the play The Father by Florian Zeller, who is considered one of the most exciting contemporary playwrights by world critics. This second part of Zeller’s dramatic trilogy (The Mother, The Father and The Son) is a tragicomic family story focused on an ageing father who’s struggling with dementia. In dealing with the ageing process and, under the given circumstances, the twisted relationship be- tween a father and his daughter, Zeller brings into ques- tion the immutability of the categories of truth and re- ality. The premiere is scheduled for 27 th March, World Theatre Day, while the main roles will be portrayed by Voja Brajović, Hana Selimović, Ivan Mihailović et al.
