Head south from Istria and you’ll come across a million places where you will want to stay and enjoy the beauty, clean seas, fantastic food and wonderful people W hile the melody of the song Nemoj [Don’t], the new summer duet of Ni- na Badrić and Petar Grašo, resounds across the region, this singer takes advantage of every break she has at her house in Jelsa, on the island of Hvar, where she enjoys the morning silence of her favourite island. She also happily recharges her batteries at other beautiful places around the Adriatic, from Istria towards the south, while she’s preparing to delight the audience this autumn with a new album for which she’s busi- ly preparing lyrics. Due to her having a house on Hvar, we asked her to take us on a little walk around her favourite island and started by asking her why she chose Jelsa, alongside so many other wonderful places in the Adriatic region... “The first time I came to Hvar, I fell in love with the island; with its beauty, scents, tranquillity, silence. It was quite by accident that I came to Jelsa, but if I’d come to any other place on Hvar, I would have looked to buy a house there, as they are all equally beautiful. Whether it’s the town of Hvar or Stari Grad or Vrboska.
Krenite od Istre prema jugu i naći ćete milion mesta u kojima ćete poželeti da ostanete i uživate u lepoti, čistom moru, fantastičnoj hrani i divnim ljudima D ok regionom plovi melodija pesme „Ne- moj“, novog letnjeg dueta Nine Badrić i Petra Graša, pevačica koristi svaki pre- dah u svojoj kući u Jelsi na Hvaru da uži- va u jutarnjoj tišini omiljenog ostrva. Ba- terije rado puni i na drugim prelepim mestima širom Jadrana, od Istre prema jugu, dok se sprema da na je- sen publiku obraduje novim albumom za koji uveli- ko sprema stihove. Pošto ima kuću na Hvaru, zamolili smo je da nas bar malo povede u šetnju svojim omiljenim ostrvom i na početku pitali zašto je izabrala baš Jelsu, pored toliko divnih mesta na Jadranu... – Prvi put kad sam došla na Hvar, zaljubila sam se u to ostrvo. U njegovu lepotu, mirise, mir, tišinu. Slučajno sam došla u Jelsu, ali da sam otišla i u bilo koje drugo mesto na Hvaru, gledala bih da kupim ne- ku kuću tamo, sva su jednako lepa. I grad Hvar, i Sta- ri grad, i Vrboska. Koliko vremena provodite tamo i da li cele godine uspevate redovno da barem malo pomirišete more?
