Combination valves for multi-occupancy buildings
Albion Valves (UK) Limited has launched the EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro, two configurations of a new-to-the-market combination valve assembly designed for use in multi-occupancy buildings. Both configurations are manufactured from bronze for increased corrosion resistance to both dezincification and stress corrosion cracking, and overall product durability. The EasyFlow valve assembly combines an isolation valve approved under the Water Regulations Approval Scheme (WRAS); pressure-reducing valve (PRV); in-line pressure gauges for up and downstream pressure measurement; built-in double-check valve complying with water regulations and BS EN 13959; and a Class D water meter connection point. EasyFlow Pro offers an additional isolation ball valve with integral drain. Both models are supplied with a bespoke, moulded insulation jacket compliant
with BS EN 13501-1 as standard, and an adaptor making the units suitable for 3/4” and 1” requirements. EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro are WRAS- approved, Reg4-compliant and can be used on systems up to 16 bar and 80°C. The outlet/downstream pressure of the PRV is preset at the factory to 3 bar but adjustable between 1.5 and 6 bar. Valves can be fitted horizontally or vertically but are unidirectional. Designed by Albion Valves to provide a practical solution for consultants, contractors and building operators seeking control, consistency, repeatability and easier servicing, the new range aims to simplify specification, speed up installation and make ongoing maintenance easier. often unsuitable due to their length and the tight, restrictive space in risers and service cupboards. Having multiple components combined into a single compact unit makes the system design, installation and maintenance more efficient. It also saves space, allows for neater installs and reduces the number of potential leak paths. EasyFlow and EasyFlow Pro are available for next-day delivery.
