VIETNAM WAR 50 YEAR COMMEMORATION
In 2008, the Secretary of Defense was authorized to conduct a program to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Vietnam War. It has asked cities, towns and organizations across the nation to become commemorative partners to honor the Vietnam Veterans and give them the thanks they never received when they returned home 50 years ago. One of the organizations that is a Commemorative Partner is the Daughters of the American Revolution, (DAR.) I am a member of a DAR Chapter in Oregon and Associate Member of a Chapter in the Coachella Valley. I would like to put on a program next year to honor the Vietnam Veterans who are in Outdoor Resort. If you served in Vietnam, or were on active duty any time from November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, please contact me by the end of April with your name, branch of service, rank, phone number, lot number and email address.
