Dear Club Members,
There is something about Spring that everyone loves. The earth comes alive again for those of us who live in colder climates. We start thinking about and planning our activities for the next few months whether it be Easter, perhaps a confirmation, vacations, or a good, old-fashioned Spring or Summer wedding. Precious Moments helps us to capture these special moments in our lives, causing us to literally stop and smell the flowers.
My time with Precious Moments has resulted in my desire to do exactly that. Running a business has been very demanding on my time, and I’ve often missed some of those precious moments with my family and my friends. After 45 years of work, it’s time for me to witness and enjoy more of those moments with my wife of 45 years, five children, seven grandchildren, 100-year-old mother, and other family and friends often put on the backburner during my career. It’s ironic this decision comes at a time when I am enjoying the best company I have had the honor to lead in my entire career!
My replacement as CEO, John Lanman, has already taken over the helm. I know you will like him as he exudes the very nature of our brand and is a heck of a business person to boot. The Butcher family has offered me a role on the Precious Moments Board, which I gladly accepted as we have numerous new initiatives in place to support the brand, and Precious Moments will always be a part of my soul. Thank you for teaching me about this brand. Through conversations with many of you, I’ve clearly learned that Precious Moments is about the wonderful emotions all around us in life. Your spirituality is refreshing in a world of just things. I thank you for all your suggestions, all your support and prayers, and am counting on you to provide the same for John and all of the Precious Moments family. I hope to see many of you at the Reunion this year. Until then, it’s Spring, let’s go plant some flowers together! Appreciably, Kos

2019 Production Mark: Water Drop
At the bottom of each Precious Moments figurine, a special marking can be found. These small, inspirational drawings are called production marks or year marks. A water drop is the symbol chosen to grace each porcelain figurine made throughout 2019. There is little doubt that water is the source of life. Biblically speaking, the water which Jesus offers is the source of eternal life. “But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14
