L’Union culturelle des Franco-Ontariennes (cercle d’E m brun) a fait un don de 500$, en plus du m atériel approprié pour la m atelassure qu’elle avait en réserve au Service d’entraide co mm unautaire à E m brun, à l’organis m e Victoria’s Quilts de Russell. Victoria’s Quilts est une organisation ayant des bureaux un peu partout en A m érique du Nord. Ses bénévoles font des courtepointes pour les patients atteints de cancer. Ci-dessus, Anne Mains, de Victoria’s Quilts , Anita Brisson, Mignonne Perras et Irène Plante, de L’Union culturelle des Franco-Ontariennes, et Marlene Cox, du siège social de Victoria’s Quilts.
The Russell Horticultural Society held its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 17, at McDougall Park in Russell. The students of teacher Ann Jackson at St. Tho m as Aquinas grew m any of the plants for sale. Here Louise Houle, Wanda Faris, Susan Barr, Peter Van Die, Ann Jackson, and Margaret Helliker stand with a few of the m any varieties that were available.
