Other Carnival activities included a school breakfast and a bean, hot dog and spa- ghetti supper on Friday, followed by music around the campfire, a puck toss, and toilet races that evening. Celles- ci visent principalement à assurer l’avenir et la vitalité de la communauté francophone de Prescott-Russell. En sollicitant cette somme, le Comité Le Noyau propose du même coup un partenariat avec les municipalités environnantes.Le Comité, qui regroupe notamment le Centre de services à l’emploi, est d’ailleurs l’instigateur de deux foires de l’emploi qui se tiendront les 2 et 9 mars prochain à Hawkesbury et Rockland respectivement. Ces foires d’emploi visent à remplir un des objectifs que s’est donné le Comité lors du Sommet de la francophonie tenue les 30 et 31 mai 2012. Les objectifs sont l’aménagement linguistique municipal, le service en français dans les commerces, l’immigration et l’employabilité, le collectif des associations francophones de Prescott et Russell et la force culturelle et touristique francophone. Le Comité Noyau, qui rassemble des représentants de divers organismes de la région, a été formé en 2011 à la suite de la Journée Dialogue tenue le 10 novembre 2011.
