Hola Sober December

Twitter is a place where people so often share bad news, but I wanted to share some good news. Last year, I asked you all to donate to a scholarship fund for a young man named Daniel Coscia. Thanks to you, he attended his first semester at Belmont University in Nashville! A bunch of us who know Daniel through his mom Jen (I met her when I was getting sober) put together this fund after Jen's son and Daniel's brother Frank died suddenly at age 20. Jen and Daniel were understandably heartbroken and we wanted to help them pick up the pieces. Thanks to so many of you, we were able to raise over $40,000 to help fund Daniel's college. I can't begin to tell you how much it means to us that we were able to give Daniel this bridge away from the trauma of losing his brother and into his future. As I mentioned, we were able to raise over $40k to help fund his tuition and expenses at Belmont University. We need to raise another $50,000 in order to fully fund his college tuition and expenses. After the tragedy that Daniel faced, we want to give at least this to him. So we have continued our fundraising efforts. Would you join us in contributing to Daniel's fund so we can help this young, talented man build a bridge to his future? We are starting out with a goal of $25,000…no amount is too small! Thank you to all who have contributed. When I first tweeted last year, I never expected to be able to raise as much money as we did. Giving to large, traditional charities is important but to know directly of your impact is so rewarding.
