WHITE PLAINS, NY – Golf + networking = great combo. Such was the enthusiastic con- sensus of the participants at the 22nd annual all-day golf outing hosted by Professional Women inConstruction (PWC) onMon- day, June 23, at the Elmwood Country Club in White Plains. Kent Jobe , sales director with IBC Groups , co-chair of the event, noted two reasons for his company’s sponsorship. “The golf outing is an opportu- nity to get away to a different setting and learn more about the people and the companies you work with. And PWC is a good cause to support.” The game provides “an open platform for women in a non- judgmental environment,” said Devika Kamboh , certified fi- nancial planner with Kamboh Financial Planning . Janal Montagna , director client services with Maxons Restorations , found that the mix of men and women “brings diversity to the group and helps business.” Jerry Miller and Barbara Lyons , both senior vice presi- dents with the Donaldson Organization , were glad for the chance tomake new friends and entertain existing ones “to keep the relationship solid,” said Miller, as did Jay Cohen , managing principal with Envi- ronetics , who said, “You find a common denominator and look for ways to help each other.” n Leasing to tax- exempt entities... Sec. 168(g)(1)(b). In this case, leasehold improvements done to a property that is deemed to be under a disqualified lease would be depreciated over 40 years or no less than 125% of the lease term. In addition to having to fol- low special rules for deprecia- tion, there may also be limita- tions on the expenses that can be deducted in excess of the taxpayer’s gross income from the lease.
