Join us at Moss in downtown Iowa City for a succulent bar—a collaborative mini-planting experience. It's like a salad bar with succulents! You’ll choose a succulent and pot, and then we’ll guide you through the steps of potting it. Top it off with decorative stone and learn how to care for your new plant friend. Moss is a thoughtfully curated plant and gift shop with locations in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids and specializes in indoor plants and stylish pots for the modern home and office. Cost per person is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Space is limited. Please note: this class will be in the lower level of the building which is not handicap accessible. Everything I Needed to Know About Business, I Learned in the Barnyard Hills Bank in Cedar Rapids (3905 Blairs Ferry Rd NE) Friday, May 17, 10:00 a.m. Dwight Seegmiller, President and CEO of Hills Bank, grew up on a small dairy farm near Decorah, IA, attended a one room country school through the 6th grade, and graduated from Iowa State University. He joined Hills Bank in 1975 and has been President and CEO since 1986. Dwight values his rural background and shares his values and common sense philosophies in this humorous presentation. Simple Fix Meal Prep Class Hy-Vee in Coralville (1914 8th St) Tuesday, June 4, 10:00 a.m. Meal prep the simple way with Coralville Hy-Vee Dietitian Stephanie! We’re hosting a class for you to semi-prepare three healthy homemade meals to take home and stock your freezer. Each meal will be approximately four servings. When you arrive, all the ingredients will be shopped for and pre-prepped. As a group, we will walk through assembling the recipes, and directions will be provided on how to bake each dish at home.
