We’ll begin with a tour of Mayowood Mansion in Rochester, MN, to learn about the life and legacy of Dr. Charles Mayo and his family and then settle in for a two-night stay at the famed St. James Hotel in Red Wing. After a visit to Stoney End to learn about harp making, we will put Red Wing in our rearview mirror and make the scenic journey to La Crosse, WI, with a stop at a local winery along the way. Our time in La Crosse will begin with a guided tour to get acquainted with the city. The evening will then be ours to dine and explore downtown La Crosse, with its unique specialty shops, great entertainment venues, fine dining, and historic architecture. While in La Crosse, we’ll also have the opportunity to cruise along the Mississippi River aboard a paddlewheeler while our guide shares facts and trivia about the river. A visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe will complete our touring before we overnight and depart for home.
