Cake Decorating 101 Hills Bank in Kalona (120 5th St) Wednesday, April 24, 4:00 p.m.

Are you a cake decorating expert or just starting? Join cake decorating expert Brenda Miller as she walks us through 90 minutes of new decorating techniques. After working at Hills Bank for more than 15 years, Brenda decided to be a full-time stay at home mom. That’s when her hobby of cake decorating became a career. For the next six years, Brenda made a variety of cakes for birthdays, weddings, and other special events. Although she’s “retired” from the cake business, she still enjoys working on an occasional cake to surprise family and friends. Cost per person is $20 for members and $25 for non-members and includes instruction from Brenda, three decorating tips and pastry bag, offset spatula, and a 6” cake (decorated by you) to take home. Space is limited. Register with Katie Miller at 319-656-5801 or Katie_Miller@HillsBank.com and specify your choice of cake: chocolate or white.
