Appalachian Trail Talk and Tasting Guild Wurst Tavern (53 2nd St, Coralville) Monday, May 6, 2:00 p.m.
In 2012, Brewmeister Kinkade and his brother Jon, a chef, hiked the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. Join us at Guild Wurst Tavern in Coralville, home to Boot 'n' Flute Brewery, for an afternoon of great food, great beer, and stories about their six-month journey along the Appalachian Trail. There will be a presentation with photos from their trip, as well as a flight of beer for everyone to try—some beers deriving their names from adventures had on the trail—and a musical performance by the Kinkade brothers. Space is limited. Cost per person is $15 for members and $20 for non-members and includes a flight of beer, appetizers, the presentation, and all taxes and gratuities. Register with Kelsey Redlinger at 319-679-2128 or Kelsey_Redlinger@HillsBank.com.
