EFI Announces Completion Of Acquisition Electronics For Imaging (EFI) has completed its pre- viously announced acquisition by an affiliate of Siris for approximately $1.7 billion. In connection with the closing of the transaction, EFI, which will continue to operate as Electronics For Imaging (EFI), will be wholly owned by an affiliate of Siris, and EFI’s common shares will be delisted from the NASDAQ exchange. The transaction, which was initially announced on April 15, was approved in a shareholder vote on July 15 in which 72.2 percent of EFI’s outstanding shares and 99.7 percent of voted shares were voted in favor of the transaction. GAERF/APTech Recognizes Excellence In Graphics The Graphic Arts Education and Research Founda- tion (GAERF), managed by the Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech), recently recognized talented Graphic Communications contestants from across the country who participated in the SkillsUSA 55th Annual National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) Championships, held June 24-28 in Louisville, Kentucky. During the week-long event, more than 6,500 (an increase of more than 200 participants from 2018) career and technical education high school and col- lege-level students, all state contest winners, competed hands-on in 102 different trade, technical and leader- ship fields. Industry Help All contests are run with the help of industry, trade associations, and labor organizations, and the test com- petencies are set by industry.
