Just One Way of Salvation One thing the Bible makes as clear as day, and the experience of millions has proven it to be true— there are not a dozen ways to get to heaven. There is just ONE road that leads to the City; just ONE entrance to the City and con sequently just ONE foundation upon which we may rest our hopes of salva tion. There is just One way— Christ, John 14:6. There is just One name— Christ, Acts 4:12. There is just one foundation— Christ, 1 Cor. 3:11. There is just one entrance— Christ. John 10:1. There is just one atonement— Christ. Heb. 9:12, 22, 28. There is - just one saving power— ■— Christ. Rom. 1:16; John 6:44. There is just one Gospel— Christ. Gal. 1:8-9. In starting for any point there is just ONE thing to keep in mind— take the right road. There is just one way to get lost— take the wrong road. The wrong road may hie a finely paved road, lined with beautiful shrubbery and flow ers and passing through the most aristo cratic districts— but regardless of the charms of the way, it will not lead to the desired destination because it is the wrong road. If there is a heaven, God Almighty would certainly make some revelation as to how it is to be reached. He has done so. “ Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” and Jesus Christ, God’s Only Begotten Son came into the world to make the way clear. In spite of it all, there are many who fancy they can devise some way of their own.

What is it to be LOST? V “ All wp like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to HIS OWN WAY” (Isa. 53:6). To be lost is to take your own way instead of God’s way. Good as your way may be, if it is not God’s -way, it is the wrong way and leads to everlasting separation from God. Doing what one wants to do instead of what God tells them to do, is to be lost. Hell is a place where all who have their own way will land; a place where they can eternally have their own way. Heaven is a place where all who have taken God’s way will end; a place where all will eternally delight to do God’s will. What is it to be SAVED? "Let the wicked forsake HIS WAY a n d t h e unrighteous m a n H IS THOUGHT and let him return unto the Lord1. My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are ybur ways my ways, saith the Lord” (Isa. 55:7-8). If we would be saved, we are first of all called upon to forsake utterly our own opinions and preferences. We are told that man cannot think straight upon the subject of his salvation when his thoughts are free to follow their own bent. “ My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.” Man’s thought for himself is always under the heavens. God’s thought for him includes the heavens. Have you an honest desire to- be saved? Listen to Jesus Christ who says “ I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.” .— K.’L. B.
