tunity of witnessing for Christ and put the words upon my lips that God wants spoken. I may be in the presence of people who are much more learned than I, my college professors, people in auth ority over me, my employer, yet I need not stand in fear. God will give me the words He wants spoken to them if I but ask Him. God forbid that I should refuse to let Him use me and thus stop the channel of mercy flowing through me. If the stream be clogged the water dams, either the people further on will be without water supply or the water will overflow and go by some other route. So if I clog the channel carrying the water of life either someone will go unblessed or God will use another to do what He had lovingly designed that I should do. Christ was careful to tell us where He Would have us begin witnessing, “ Jerusalem,” home, and the extent to which He would have us witness, “ Uter- most part of the earth.” (v. 8) It’s easy to witness at Sunday School and Christian Endeavor, among strang ers or those who know us slightly, we can be on dress parade for them. Home is the hardest place in the. world. Home problems and duties penetrate all masks and uncover all sham. A young man was uniting with the church. The pastor asked, “ Which of my sermons led you to accept Christ?” He replied, “None of your sermons. It was my sister’s liv ing. Many times I vexed and wronged her. She was always sweet tempered and kind. I asked her one day how she did it. She said she didn’t nor couldn’t do it. It was Christ who controlled her. She then asked me to let Him in. I then and there surrendered to Christ and asked Him to make and keep me pure and true.” “ The light which shines farthest shines brightest at home.” A little girl asked her mother, “ Mamma” do you love Jesus.” “ Yes child, why?” “ You speak of papa, brother, auntie, I thought if you loved Jesus very much you would sometimes speak of Him.”

Sometimes a girl says I believe in helping folk^ at home, but that’s all God expects of me. Those who do not believe in foreign missions should cut “ Ye shall be witnesses unto me unto the uttermost part of the earth” out of their Bibles. God believes in foreign missions. If somebody hadn’t been a foreign mis sionary you would have never heard of Jesus. We have no right to think that girls in America are any dearer to God than the girls of Persia and Japan. No amount of witnessing at home excludes us from witnessing abroad. A great day is coming. God is seated upon the throne. Before Him a great throng is gathered of every kindred and tongue, people and nation. All our past life will be unfolded as a scroll. “ Every man’s work shall be made manifest.” (1 Cor. 3:13) What a joy it will be to have Christ step forth and claim us proudly as His own and give us our reward. It may be hard for us now in the company of careless Godless com panions to always witness boldly tor Christ or perhaps leave home to go as a missionary, but in that day we will be glad that we did. It will be worth any hardship to have pleased Christ and to have God say “Well done.” Memory Verse.— “ The Lord will give strength unto His people.” Psa. 29:11. Approach.^ (Bring a little sand in pasteboard box to class.) Children what is this in the box? Does sand make a good strong foundation to build houses on? No. Now does BEGINNERS this sand make you AND think of a lesson story PRIMARY we had Just a few Sun days ago? Yes, and I am going to play I was not here last Sunday, and I want you to tell me about those two houses, the one built on the sand, and the one built on the rock. Yes that was just fine, and we are going to grow strong by building our little lives on the strong word of God, and to-day we have a story about Jesus when he
