EVER GREATER LONDON

Making London Greater We take our name from the ethos of London’s famous squares and the sense of community and enduring legacy they have provided over the centuries. Respectful of the past and inspired by the future, we are committed to creating exceptional properties which reflect the aspirations of our residents, stimulate thriving communities and set a new benchmark for modern living in the capital. Founded in 2010, the company has already created a development pipeline worth over £2 billion. By focusing solely on the capital and its surrounding areas, we are specialists in developing homes that are worthy of this magnificent city and the demands of its residents. Our achievements have been recognised by the industry with numerous awards, including Newcomer of the Year at the 2012 RESI Awards and Norwood Property Awards. In 2013 and 2014, London Square was recognised at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards, the RESI Awards and the What House Awards.

A Blueprint for London The London real estate market is not only an iconic asset class, but also a magnet for domestic and international property investors. As demand continues to outstrip supply, London continues to be a safe and trusted investment for future generations. Our target is to create 1000 new homes each year, cementing our status as one of London’s leading developers. Our strategic approach is based on the convergence of a number of factors, combining astute site acquisition, collaborative strategic partnerships and state-of-the-art design and build. Central to our strategy is the identification of prime sites within Greater London and the M25, targeting development size of 10 to 400 homes with prices from £200,000 to £4+ million. We have the vision to see the potential in sites whether they are multi-million pound homes in Wimbledon, or first time homes in leafy Ruislip.

Location, location, location It’s an often-used expression, but never truer than in the world of property. Our team are experts at being in the right place at the right time, unlocking development opportunities and then maximising their potential. At London Square, we typically consider sites of between 10 to 400 units for all types of tenure including mixed-use, whether it is unconditional, subject to planning or benefiting from an existing planning consent. We will work in partnership with land agents to ensure we can find the best sites, for ourselves as a business but most importantly for our customers. A real case of collaboration, collaboration, collaboration.

Founded in 2010 by Adam Lawrence, an ex-Regional Chairman of Barratt Homes with several other ex-Barratt Homes employees. The idea was and still is – to take the good parts of working with a larger developer like Barratt’s and try to add in a family-feel to the office; allowing people to genuinely make a difference to the day-to-day and direction of the business. They are in a period of growth currently with 7 live sites and another 6-7 going live over the next 12 months. Sites range from roughly 50 – 400 units in size. The company also have ambitions to open different divisions in the future and this will create opportunities to take a leading role in the future of the business. Other Information The business have recently moved to brand new offices in the centre of Uxbridge. The new offices are complete with a table-tennis table, pool table and other small amusements. The company also pay for a weekly food shop from Tesco for the business and there is an onsite gym. The company very much value the work-life balance culture they have fostered with an element of flexibility with hours worked. You are very much treated as an adult and given the autonomy to manage your own time.

The Roles We are recruiting for two roles currently within the quantity surveying team. For both lead and project quantity surveyors. Although the head office is based in the centre of Uxbridge and this is mainly an office-based position, candidates who live further afield are given the flexibility to work at other sites throughout London. The Commercial Lead or Lead Quantity Surveyor role will be to lead the commercial function on one of London Squares’ larger, more complex schemes. All projects are finished to a very high standard with and range up to 400 units in size. The majority of projects are new-build however there can be some tricky listed building refurbishments, so having the experience of having seen larger projects through from start to finish is a must. If you are interested in applying for this position, you should be able to demonstrate a stable working history whereby you have led complex new build projects using RC Frames and METSEC within the residential sector. You will come from either a residential developer or main contractor background.

As a project surveyor, the role will either be assisting a Lead Surveyor on a larger scheme or running a slightly smaller and perhaps less complex project. The role would suit someone who perhaps has not been involved in larger projects as the lead, but is looking to make that step up in time.
