ROLE AND CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Planning • Assists with the development and implementation of the Departmental Ope Plan, and facilitates the full engagement of all available resources, and their towards delivering the aims and objectives of the Departmental Operational University Corporate Strategy. • Works alongside relevant colleagues to realise the Operational Plan and C Strategy, continuously evaluating the effectiveness of the actions taken. • Provides strategic & technical support to the Head of Capital Projects, Hea Design Group and the Head of Property and Space along with the University Construction Company (ULCCO-SP Ltd) and the Director of Estates Manage of the University of Liverpool Energy Company (ULEC) and others as require relating to the operation & future development of the primary engineering inf of the University, including the Main Campus CHP/District Heating and HV n • Establishes and promotes project design guidance for the University engin building services in conjunction with the FRCS Directors to ensure alignment and future operations and maintenance strategies. • Undertakes reviews of the University Capital Investment Plan in conjunctio the Director of Capital Projects and Estate Strategy as required to ensure pro alignment with engineering primary infrastructure developments. • Support the development of the Estate Strategy and Masterplan, ensuring i as well as updated to meet operational and strategic requirements. Service Delivery • Acts as Client Representative for the Mechanical & Electrical elements on and Minor Capital Projects, providing support and guidance to project mana external consultants including briefings on University engineering standards, procedures. • Takes ownership of the M & E Consultants Schedules of Services and Resp Matrix and assist with review and updating where appropriate. • Provides strategic, technical & management support as required for the Uni engineering infrastructure to assist with future capacity or upgrade planning the University’s Estates Strategy & Major Capital Programme. • Develops & periodically reviews standard consultant briefing information o Engineering Standards for Project Mechanical/ Electrical installations (includi BMS) & Sustainability/Energy Performance in conjunction with the Senior Ca Manager(s) and others as required. • Coordinates, & contributes to periodic reviews of the University Standard E Specifications for project works in conjunction with the Design Group, Capita Team, Engineering Maintenance Manager and Engineering Services Manage • Update the engineering services-related documents within the “Consultant Briefing Pack” at appropriate times and keeps the Project Managers and Co advised of any changes or improvements made to the information. • Ensures that all relevant M&E Survey information is included and understoo briefing stage so as to be included in project scope where appropriate, from • Works with the Project Team to carry out technical review and Value Engine Design prior to final specification being put out for tender.
