Jerry, Your persistence, dedication, and winning efforts to help fellow rodders gets a hearty thank you from NSRA.—ED Kudos to Tuff Stuff Tom, I won the Tuff Stuff $400 gift cer- tificate from the Super Prize Program at the Quad Cities event in August, so I visited their website and decid- ed I really liked a black-case, 100amp alternator and a high- torque, mini-starter for my ‘78 Trans Am. The dollar amount totaled a lit- tle more than the certificate was for so I sent it in with a note saying I
bined with HB54 and signed into law by our Governor Mike DeWine. If a person builds such a car today, they will still be able to register it under the existing self- assembled law. Under that law, I built a ‘29 Ford roadster pick-up out of swap meet-sourced parts, plus the skin off the deck lid of my girlfriend’s car. The title read, “Roadster, assembled from various parts in 1975.” A builder today will now be able to title such a parts-sourced car or kit build as a “Historic Replica” and title it by what make, model, and 25-year- old car it most closely resembles. Purchase a one-time fee, good for life, historic replica license plate, display it on the rear of their car and follow the rules that govern the use of antique vehicles. would like to get the two items and would pay for the extra if that was okay, if not I would just take the mini- starter. A few days later I received an e-mail saying they would cover the full amount. I was not expecting that at all. Today the package arrived very well packed and upon opening the starter and alternator I was impressed, especial- ly with the finish on the black case of the alternator and as a bonus, a free ball cap was included. Overall, I’m very impressed with Tuff Stuff and their products.
