We left tons of drool on Brent Bookout’s ’70 Chevy C10 that won a Billet Specialties “Top Truck” award with 427ci LS7 power, a C4 Corvette IRS, a custom IFS, and a TMI interior.
We have loved Chuck & Laurie Day’s ’54 Mercury Monterey for years (it’s been cruising the Western Nationals for at least a decade) and this year they picked up the “Cool Custom” award for the Merc with a 302/C4 powertrain, shaved door handles, frenched everything, and PPG Dove White paint.
Visit Bakersfield helps with getting everything ready for us to come to Bakersfield and helps out with the breakfast. This year they loved Angel & Lili Robles’ bitchin’ ’54 Chevy BelAir out of Bakersfield for their “Pick.”
