Strong Studs for Vintage Engines
ARP introduces a “Head Stud Kit” (part #151-4002) for 1927-31 Ford 201 c.i.d. Model A 4-cylinder engines. The kit includes 8740 chrome moly studs, parallel-ground washers and forged, hardened, CNC machined and polished stainless steel acorn nuts. ARP also offers five kits for Ford flathead V-8 applications that cover various blocks from 1936-53 with factory or aftermarket cylinder heads. For inline 6-cylinder Ford applications (1965-96) they offer head stud kits for both 240 and 300 c.i.d. engines. All studs for vintage applications are manufactured in-house at ARP’s
California facilities from premi- um grade 8740 chrome moly steel that’s nominally rated at 190,000 psi tensile strength and significantly stronger than the OEM hardware. Threads are rolled after heat-treating, which gives them a fatigue strength up to 20-times better. Automotive Racing Products

Wilwood introduces a “Combination Parking Brake” designed to be compatible with the narrower 0.38-inch-wide 11- to 13-inch rotors on rear brake systems where space and weight savings are critical. Wilwood’s lightweight forged aluminum CPB caliper is designed specifically for rear axle applications where tradi- tional internal drum-style parking brakes are impractical. The caliper features a single, stainless-steel pis- ton and floating-mount design to a fixed radial bracket, delivering strength, durability, and multiple mounting configurations. An inte- grated, cable-actuated parking brake locking mechanism provides secure vehicle holding without reliance on hydraulic pressure. The system accepts common cable ends and can interface with origi- nal equipment cables on select vehicles, while alternative cable ends are available for custom installations. Calipers are available in gloss red or black powdercoat, with many other color options available at additional charges. Wilwood Engineering 805-388-1188 www.wilwood.com CPB
