A CASSELMAN SCHOOL COMES TOGETHER TO HONOUR SERGEANT ÉRIC MUELLER

Unit (NICU) at CHEO and the Sergeant Éric Mueller Foundation Endowment Fund. The project has engaged the entire school community over the past few weeks, as students took on various challenges and activities to raise donations. This effort not only supported important organizations but also raised awareness among young people about community engagement and solidarity. The May 5 celebration brought together many participants, including members of
Sergeant Mueller’s family, representatives from the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario (CEPEO), and community partners. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were also present, accompanied by a patrol vehicle adorned with the colors of the Franco-Ontarian flag, a symbolic gesture highlighting both Sergeant Mueller’s legacy and the community’s Francophone identity. The event was marked by an atmosphere
that was both festive and filled with gratitude, highlighting the positive impact of collective effort. The organizers praised the involve- ment of students, staff, and families, who contributed to the success of this initiative. Through this fundraiser, De La Rivière Castor School turned a tribute into concrete action, demonstrating the strength of a community united around the values of compassion, remembrance, and mutual support.
