AVIS EST DONNÉ que la Municipalité de Russell organise une journée portes ouvertes et une réunion publique obligatoire afin d'examiner un nouveau règlement de zonage pour la Municipalité de Russell, conformément aux dispositions de la Loi sur l'aménagement du territoire (L.R.O. 1990). Terrains concernés Aucune carte n'est jointe, car le règlement de zonage s'applique à l'ensemble des terrains situés sur l'ensemble du territoire de la Municipalité de Russell, dans les Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell. Réunion publique Date : lundi 1er juin 2026 Lieu : Salle Gaston Patenaude, 717, rue Notre-Dame, Embrun (Ontario) Heure: 18h Le public aura la possibilité de faire part de ses commentaires oralement au Comité consultatif sur l’aménagement du territoire et au personnel. Il ne s'agit pas d'une séance de questions-réponses. L'objectif de cette journée portes ouvertes et de cette réunion publique est de permettre aux résidents, aux parties prenantes et aux organismes concernés de poser des questions et de faire part de leurs commentaires concernant le nouveau règlement de zonage proposé. Le nouveau règlement de zonage permettra : remplacer le règlement de zonage actuel de la Municipalité de Russell; mettre en œuvre les dispositions obligatoires de la Loi sur l'aménagement du territoire, les politiques de la Déclaration provinciale sur la planification 2024, le Plan officiel des Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell 2022, ainsi que les politiques et les affectations d'usage du sol du Plan officiel de la Municipalité de Russell; améliorer la clarté, l’intention et la facilité de compréhension des différents termes et dispositions contenus dans le règlement de zonage; mettre à jour les désignations des sols ainsi que la cartographie, les définitions et les dispositions générales associées; et traiter des thèmes et tendances émergents en matière d’aménagement du territoire tels qu’ils s’appliquent à la Municipalité de Russell. TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Russell will hold an open house and statutory public meeting to consider a new Zoning By- law for the Township of Russell, pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. Lands Affected No key map is attached as the Zoning By-law applies to all lands within the entire geographic area of the Township of Russell, United Counties of Prescott Date: Tuesday, May 19 , 2026 th Location: Gaston Patenaude Hall, 717 Notre-Dame Street, Embrun, ON Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend this informal drop-in session to view the Draft Zoning By-law and speak with staff. Public Meeting Date: Monday, June 1 , 2026 st Location: Gaston Patenaude Hall, 717 Notre-Dame Street, Embrun, ON Time: 6:00p.m. and Russell. OpenHouse The public will be provided with an opportunity to provide oral comments to the Planning Advisory Committee and staff. This is not intended to be a question- and-answer session. The purpose of the open house and public meeting is to provide residents, stakeholders and agencies the opportunity to inquire and provide comments with respect to the proposed new Zoning By-law. The new Zoning By-law will: replace the existing Township of Russell Zoning By-law; implement the mandatory regulations of the Planning Act, the policies of the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024, the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Official Plan, 2022, and the policies and land use designations of the Township of Russell Official Plan; increase the clarity, intent, and ease of understanding the various terms and provisions contained in the Zoning By-law; update the land use designations and associated mapping, definitions, and general provisions; and address emerging themes and trends in land use planning as they apply to the Township of Russell.
