Patterna
A palette for creative possibilites
Patterna Rooted in the durability of traditional end-grain timber, Patterna reinterprets a historic material through a contemporary, design-led lens. Patterna brings the legacy of traditional end grain into a refined new collection of entirely-customisable patterned wood surfaces. Manufactured from responsibly sourced timber, Patterna is available in multiple patterns, each defined by a distinctive geometric layout, with names inspired by their form. From the structured rhythm of Ladder to the ordered precision of Grid, the directional flow of Left Chevron and Right Chevron, and the dynamic composition of Sailboat, each pattern offers a unique visual language. Break away from fixed formats with mix-and-match patterns for complete creative flexibility. Patterna introduces a truly expressive way to design with wood – patterns can be combined to create entirely bespoke layouts and bring personality, zoning effects, bold design statements or subtle movement across floors, walls and surfaces.

The origins of end grain Originally used extensively in the 19th century to pave busy streets across Europe and Asia, end-grain timber was valued for its ability to withstand relentless, heavy traffic. By the early 20th century, it became a standard flooring solution in factories and workshops, where strength, stability and longevity were essential. Unlike conventional wood surfaces, end- grain is formed by cutting across the growth rings of the tree, revealing the beautiful character of the wood rings and using the densest part of the timber. This structure not only creates a distinctive, unique appearance, but also delivers exceptional performance - offering enhanced durability, impact resistance and natural shock absorption underfoot.
