NISBETS PLC was honoured to receive Britain’s most coveted award for Enterprise: International Trade in 2017 for their continued development of international trade and constant growth. Originally formed in Bristol in 1983, Nisbets now trades in 100 countries worldwide and has direct sales operations in 9 territories including Ireland, The Netherlands, France, Spain and Australia, along with 35 retail outlets around the world. Total export sales have grown by more than 205% since 2010. Klaus Goeldenbot, Group CEO of Nisbets, explains what the award meant to the company and how it has focused the short to medium term plans for the company: “To be awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a great honour and a huge tribute to the work of Nisbets
colleagues worldwide. Our philosophy around the globe is exactly the same of that in the UK; to provide high quality catering equipment, exceptional customer service, along with next day delivery where feasible. There is certainly the potential for Nisbets to be an even bigger international player and there is a real desire from the management team to increase the international footprint and deliver great customer experience to both existing, as well as new customers, around the world. Part of the work during the course of this year will involve mapping out where we want to be in a
few years. Currently only 30% of our revenue is generated from international turnover, for this to increase we need to understand the huge opportunity for growth, rstly spending time clearly understanding about priorities which these markets desire. Since the award we are also proud to have launched the National Catering Equipment Centre in Bristol, UK in September 2017, which is a perfect example of our commitment to the hospitality industry.
