Specialist manufacturers of anti-corrosion, sealing and waterproo ng products, PREMIER COATINGS LTD based in Smarden, Kent, were awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade in 2017. The award is in recognition of the company’s excellent trading world-wide, which is due to a combination of dedicated sta , loyal agents and supplying a range of high quality products which o er long-term, e ective solutions for their customers’ corrosion related problems. The company was founded in 1982 and their anti-corrosion and sealing systems manufactured under a BS ISO Quality Assurance system, soon became well known for ease of use and reliability. Protecting steel from corrosion in aggressive environments their Premcote TM and Premtape TM self-adhesive wrapping tapes and sealing mastics were widely used in pipeline projects and maintenance work. They also produce the Premseal TM range of membranes for waterproo ng, tanking and gas proo ng applications. These membranes, which have BBA certi cation and CE Marking, have also gained a good reputation for good quality and longevity in service. In 1997 the company was acquired by anti- corrosion and sealing specialist Winn & Coales Premier Coatings Ltd

International Ltd who enabled them to develop into new areas such as SeaShield TM systems for the protection of jetty piles and Protal TM liquid coatings for pipelines. Other new products added to their range include Premstrip TM for sealing and jointing precast concrete units, Prembond Metalcote TM systems for the protection of exposed steel and Archco TM resistant linings for vessels, pipes and bunded areas. The support of Winn & Coales International has also allowed them to invest heavily in a new plant for their Smarden factory, which has improved e ciency and reduced waste.
