Shah, works as a consultant and is a professor in Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.He is a Life Fellow of IEEE, received his B.Tech. (Honors) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He received MS and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. He retired in May 2016 as a Principle Engineer from GE’s Global Research Center after almost 34 years with GE! He spent his career working on electrical devices with the main focus on electric machines. He has ~70 US and many foreign patents with several pending. He has also authored/co-authored over 45 technical papers; some of them have been prize papers. He has given many invited talks internationally. He has been active in the Electric Machines area for IEEE in various capacities and is a past chair of our Schenectady section. He received the 2015 IEEE Gerald Kliman award, the 2012 GE-GRC Coolidge Fellowship award, the 2012 IEEE Nikola Tesla award and the 1991 GE-Power’s Most Outstanding Technical Contribution Award. Stephen Shapiro Stephen Shapiro is one of the foremost authorities on innovation culture, collaboration, and open innovation. During the past twenty years, his message to hundreds of thousands of people in forty countries around the world has remained the same: Innovation only occurs when organizations bring together divergent points of view in an efficient manner. Over the years, Stephen has shared his innovative philosophy in books such as 24/7 Innovation and The Little Book of BIG Innovation Ideas. He has also trained more than 20,000 consultants in innovation during his 15 year tenure with Accenture. Richard (Rich) Sheng Rich is currently an Oversea Expert/Senior Technical Fellow for The COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute and his main job functions are strategic planning for organizational development, capability building, performance measurement, system engineering, system integration, and training course development. Since 1998, Rich has worked in Project Management, Proposal Development, System Engineering, Quality Management, Information Technology, and Software Engineering fields. Rich has published six papers in the Journal of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the International Conference of Civil Engineering. He had his three research models patented and copyrighted in 1978, 1994, and 2010. He is also a nationally certified Malcolm Baldrige judge and examiner, specializing in Processes and Strategic Planning; served on California State Baldrige Quality Examiner Board. Rich also speaks fluent Mandarin and English and has good communication skills in both writing and speaking. Recently he has become China National 1000 Plan Expert and also Shanghai 1000 Plan Expert in the Science and Technology field.

Dr. Saha has also won several awards presented by SAE International, the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE), and the Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD). He is an INCE-USA Board Certified Member, a Fellow Member of SAE International and ESD, and has been named an SAE Master Instructor. Dr. Saha holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Acoustics Specialty) from Georgia Institute of Technology. Steven Schmid Dr. Schmid is a Professor at the University of Notre Dame, where he conducts research and teaches courses in manufacturing, metal forming, tribology and design. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Schmid was a project engineer at Triodyne, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in machine and manufacturing/product consulting with a special emphasis on safety. As such, he has visited hundreds of manufacturing facilities as diverse as sugar cane plants in Hawaii to battery factories in Vermont, and has been a consultant to industry and government. He is a past recipient of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers John T. Parsons Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award, has won numerous teaching awards, and was named a Kaneb Center Teaching Faculty Fellow at the University of Notre Dame in 2003. Dr. Schmid is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology and Northwestern University. In 2012-2013, Dr. Schmid was the first Academic Fellow at the Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office, where he helped design the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation. He is the co-author (with S. Kalpakjian) of the world’s most popular manufacturing textbook, which has been translated into many languages including German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin), Italian, and Spanish. He is President of the North American Manufacturing Research Institute of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (NAMRI/SME). Andrew Seybert Andrew F. Seybert, Ph.D., P.E., is President of Spectronics, Inc. and Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky. His research specialization is acoustics and vibrations. Dr. Seybert is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration. Dr. Seybert is a Founding Member of the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration. Dr. Seybert is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Kentucky and Ohio. He has been active in SAE professional development and other NVH activities for many years and is the recipient of the SAE’s Lloyd L. Withrow Distinguished Speaker Award. Dr. Seybert received his B.S. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and the M.S. and Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Charles Seyboldt Mr. Charles F. Seyboldt has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Law. Since 2003he has been acquiring experience in the trans- portation industry, having engineering responsibilities covering a
