Murray Sittsamer Murray Sittsamer of The Luminous Group has over 26 years’ experience in operations management, strategic planning, new process launches, financial analysis, quality systems and process improvement. During the past 12 years, Murray has focused his work on supporting automotive OEMs and suppliers with their quality and productivity improvement efforts, especially in the areas of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), variation reduction and Problem Solving. Before entering the consulting field in 1994, Murray served as director of distribution support and quality systems for Gelman Sciences. While there, he led a successful 15-month effort to obtain ISO 9000 quality system registration and had the role of project manager for a highly publicized groundwater contamination dispute. Murray holds a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He earned his undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Joseph Sorrentino For nearly three decades, Joseph Sorrentino has been instru- mental in implementing successful quality management systems for commercial companies, military and aerospace contractors, and government agencies throughout the U.S. As president and CEO of Lean Quality Systems, Inc., Sorrentino specializes in implementing new standard methods for the corporate sector and has successfully worked with more than 25 corporations in the southern California area alone. A retired U.S. Navy quality assurance specialist, Sorrentino is certified as a level III examiner for visual, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic inspections. He began his career as a quality management professional in the U.S. Navy, initially as chief petty officer, level III NAVSEA examiner/quality assurance division officer and spent eight years as a GS1910 quality specialist. Erik Spek Mr. Spek is Chief Engineer for TÜV SÜD Canada, a member of the global TÜV SÜD third party testing services organization for cell and battery manufacturers, vehicle OEMs and utility grid users of energy storage systems. He is also a consultant in the field of energy storage systems focusing on applications, verification testing, cell and battery production facilities safety and sodium ion battery development. Mr. Spek is co-holder of a patent for next generation sodium metal chloride architecture for low cost and very high energy density. He has authored articles on Weibull statistics for battery life and BEV range modeling and has been active in the battery industry since 1984. Mr. Spek is a member of SAE International and is a Certified Manufacturing Engineer with SME. He received an M.A.Sc. from the University of Waterloo and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada.

Saeed Siavoshani Dr. Siavoshani is a technical specialist in the area of hybridization and electrification in Siemens Company. He is also an adjunct professor at Wayne State University where he teaches several comprehensive electric vehicle courses. In addition he serves as the hybrid academy lead instructor & the Chief Industry Advisor for SAE Professional Development. Since 1998, he has worked for the Dow Chemical Company, General Motors Corporation and Ford Motor Company. During his career, he has been instrumental in the development of new technologies in the area of ANVCT, powertrain & vehicle light weight technology & BIW structural integrity. He has also developed Acoustomize, a unique method of analyzing and offering solutions to automotive noise problems. Dr. Siavoshani has helped to build & implement a balance among vehicle attributes such as NVH, thermal management and vehicle energy consumption. He has also led the development of different battery packs in the XEVs vehicle applications. He has been granted several patents and was presented the SAE Forest R. McFarland Award for distinction in professional development and education. Dr. Siavoshani has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Jaspreet Singh Jaspreet Singh has experience in leading and building teams in automotive and utility industry. He is currently working as a Senior Supply Chain manager at DTE Energy, managing a team of purchasing professionals to deliver services and materials for DTE Gas Company. Prior to this, Jas worked in automotive industry for twelve years in engineering, business, and management roles. He has successfully used various coaching techniques develop people and built high performing teams in delivering projects, programs, and departmental goals in various organizational goals. Leading thru change is another one of his strengths. Jas holds an MBA from University of Michigan (Ross School of Business) in Ann Arbor and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University in India. Paul Singh Paul is a co-founder of CERTUS Management Consulting LLC, a firm focusing on leadership development, executive coaching, process improvement, project management, business alignment and consensus building, business strategy and strategy execution. Paul is an experienced systems thinker, focused on solving pressing issues at the intersection of business and technology. He has a proven track record of creating solutions that harness power of technology to create sustainable competitive advantage for Fortune 100 clients. Since 1998, Paul has been acquiring profes- sional experience in the areas of complex program management, technology lifecycle management, new product creation and launch, customer experience design, process re-engineering, and developing high performance teams. Paul has an MBA degree from University of Michigan, and MS in Design Optimization, from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
