Native American Heritage Month November 2026
One of the things I've loved most during my 50-year career in public libraries is watching libraries continue to evolve to meet the needs of their communities. While books will always be at the heart of what we do, today's library is also about providing access to experiences, opportunities and resources that enrich people's lives. That's why I'm so excited about our new partnership with the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks. The passes join our growing Library of Things, which includes Maryland State Park passes, fishing poles, ukuleles, birding kits, Wi-Fi hotspots and more.
