• I would recommend NSBE because of the opportunities it’s offered me in leadership and networking. NSBE has been a family for me and has been helpful in my journey in high school and will definitely be there to serve me through college. NSBE pushes you to move forward and work to create a better future for everyone with their different programs and chapters everywhere. • NSBE is an invaluable organization for Black engineers. • NSBE has so many professional opportunities available. I can speak to it myself because I have secured a co-op in a field I am very interested in. The community within NSBE is extremely welcoming. I have developed my strongest relationships in college through NSBE, even though my chapter is not very developed. I have stepped into leadership, encouraging black engineers to persist and promoting the vision of NSBE. (The former is much easier than the latter, which is my frustration right now.) • NSBE is a great organization that gives people of color an opportunity to feel confident in themselves and not be afraid to put themselves out there. This group also allows people of color to feel that they can land the same opportunities as any other race.
• NSBE has opened up a world of opportunities an has been instrumental in giving me hope as not just a student, but a future member of the productive workforce. • NSBE has provided me with a lot of opportunities. • My son has gained a wealth of experiences from being a part of the DMV NSBE Jr chapter. The program began with helping and encouraging my son to push his math skills with the ixl.com. My scholar, Marco is learning coding through Microsoft. He is a member of a FLL Jr and KidsWind team. I am grateful for the many possibilities my scholar is able to explore. • NSBE is a wonderful opportunity for young professional to get exposure to opportunities and life beyond their ow institutions. The reason why my answer isn’t a 10 is because often times people use NSBE but never give anything back. • “Interesting engineering opportunities from a variety of sources • I woudl say 10, but It is virtually impossible to reach a NSBE rep with a phone call on the national level. • Nsbe has been a beneficial organization to be apart of and so would I offer that experience to everyone if possible.
